On a mission to reduce deaths from suicide and drugs in

the LGBTQ+ community

We do this by providing community support.  We believe mobilsing our community to help those in need within it, is the most powerful way to make a difference. Our support services are focused on tackling the underlying factors contributing to sudden premature deaths in our community, including loneliness, stigma, shame and discrimination.

A central part of our mission is to provide support. We provide free weekly bereavement support groups, both online and in-person, and we are currently busy building a community and support directory to help LGBTQ+ people find the right support for them. In 2026, we are going on a tour across the UK in partnership with the play 'Smoke', visiting cities up and down the country, raising awareness about the silent epidemic of sudden premature deaths in our community.

ASK BOBBY

For Pride month this June, You Are Loved is launching Ask Bobby: a nationwide LGBTQ+ directory for community & support. 

 

Ask Bobby will be a comprehensive directory listing all UK LGBTQ+ initiatives focused on connection, community, and support – from mental health organisations and charities through to local grassroot initiatives, and amateur queer sports teams.

Culture + Community = Action

A unique meeting of culture and community for theatre-goers, queer people, and allies. Through the queer lens of Alexis Gregory’s play Smoke and panel discussions hosted by You Are Loved, the tour explores themes of mental health, drug addiction, grief, survival, and the power of community.

Bereavement Support Groups

When you lose a loved one suddenly and unexpectedly, the grieving process can be particularly tough. For LGBTQ+ people, mainstream bereavement services can sometimes fall short. 

You Are Loved is providing a free, weekly, queer led and judgement free space, to support each other through the grief of having lost a loved one to suicide or drugs.

You Are Loved CIC is a community interest company, aka non-profit organisation. We are dedicated to keep all our support services free to the members of our community.
